A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) and Sabah Skills & Technology Centre (SSTC) on 19th October 2019 at Hilton Hotel Kota Kinabalu during the MITI Day 2019.

MPC was represented by its Director General, Dato’ Abdul Latif Hj Abu Seman and SSTC by its Director, Madam Natalie Fung. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Mohd Shafie bin Haji Apdal, Sabah Chief Minister and Datuk Darell Leiking, Minister of International Trade and Industry.

Under the agreement, both MPC and SSTC agreed to collaborate by enhancing the productivity and quality development in Sabah especially in the workforce and use of technology. SSTC and MPC will work closely in offering courses and skilled trainings related to Industry 4.0 to the industries in Sabah.

MPC is a statutory body under the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and its mission is to deliver high impact services towards achieving performance excellence through innovation while SSTC is Sabah’s very own skills development centre, where it provides training and development programs to enhance the skills level of State’s workforce.
