Sabah Skills & Technology Centre (SSTC) held its 19th Annual General Meeting on 18th June 2019.
The AGM was attended by 24 companies consisted of SSTC Founder and Ordinary members, and ex-officio from government agencies. Election was held this year to elect the new line-up for SSTC Management Council Members for year 2019 – 2021. Datuk Seri Panglima Wong Khen Thau remains as Chairman and Datuk John Choo as Deputy Chairman, both won the post uncontested. And 5 other council members voted in are Sabah Energy Corporation Sdn Bhd, Steel Industries (Sabah) Sdn Bhd, KKIP Sdn Bhd, Shell Timur Sdn Bhd and Cement Industries (Sabah) Sdn Bhd.
At the AGM, SSTC also presented the Star Supporter Awards to recognize member companies who have sent the most number of participants to attend corporate trainings in 2018. Gold Star supporter was presented to Sabah Energy Corporation Sdn Bhd, Silver Star Supporter to Hong Sing Industries (Sabah) Sdn Bhd, and Bronze Star Supporter to Ranhill Powertron Sdn Bhd.
In addition, Cement Industries (S) Sdn Bhd was awarded a special “Thank You” plaque for their CSR contribution towards B40 trainees attending courses at SSTC.
