21 March 2022 – We are very humbled and honoured to have His Excellency Charles Hay, the British High Commissioner to Malaysia and delegation visiting us here at SSTC. His Excellency was welcomed by Datuk John Choo, SSTC’s Chairman, Datuk Seri Panglima Wong Khen Thau, Immediate Past Chairman, Dr.Kok Tiong Chee, Advisor, Ms. Anita Dhawan, Treasurer and Madam Cecilia Amid, SSTC’s Council Member.
During the visit, a Dialogue Session on “Skills for Prosperity Programme in Sabah” were shared by the industry players to His Excellency.The future of Industry Needs in Sabah on Human Capital Development and how BHC can support more Youth, Women and other vulnerable groups to be better empowered as entrepreneurs were among the key topics discussed in the meeting.
Pathlyn, one of the trainees of “Skills for Prosperity Programme in Sabah”, a collaboration programme between SSTC-BHC and International Labour Organization (ILO) also shared her experience and what she has gained from the programme.
Also present during the visit were, Madam Jennifer Lasimbang, Mr. Richard Lim, President of Federation of Sabah Industries (FSI), Mr. James Ha, Chairman of Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) Sabah.
