Sabah Skills & Technology Centre (SSTC) held its 22nd Annual General Meeting at the centre on 28th June 2022.
Chairman, Datuk John Choo welcomed all members attending the AGM. In 2021, SSTC had a year-long programme for the under privileged community in Sabah titled “Skills for Prosperity Programme” under the British High Commission and International Labour Organisation. SSTC also had the privilege of launching the Bosch Rexroth Cyber Physical Training System I4.0 by the YAB Chief Minister of Sabah, represented by YB Datuk Abidin Madingkir last year.
This year SSTC was fortunate to be selected by Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC) to conduct the MyReskill IoT for the industry. The chairman hopes that through this program, companies would benefit directly from hands-on experience with Industry 4.0 technologies.
Towards the end of the meeting, SSTC presented the Star Supporter Achievers to recognize companies who actively sent and provide training to their workers in 2021. The Gold Star supporter was awarded to Hong Sing Industries (S) Sdn Bhd, while Silver Star Supporter was presented to Kimanis Power Sdn Bhd; and finally, Bronze Star Supporter to KKB Industries (S) Sdn Bhd.
The meeting was attended by 19 member companies and representatives from the government agencies.
