Sabah Skills & Technology Centre organised a conference on Sabah Oil & Gas Skills Needs at Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu on 7 March 2019. The conference was attended by 116 delegates.
With the growth of the Sabah Oil & Gas Industry and the climb in the World Oil Price, there will be need for more local manpower. Sabah needs to prepare its workforce to be continually competent to tackle such jobs as the Oil & Gas Industry continues to grow inyears to come.
The Conference highlighted the current situation in Sabah and brought experiences from Sarawak to enable stake-holders to strategize the skills development and competency-building programs in a systematic way for the local workforce to play a dominant role in the Oil & Gas Industry in Sabah
