Sabah Skills & Technology Centre (SSTC) continues to perform its social responsibility towards the community by organizing a blood donation campaign for the second time in 2016 in collaboration with the Blood Bank Unit of Queen Elizabeth Hospital, located at their centre on Wednesday, 11 May 2016.
The campaign started from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm had successfully collected a total of 66 pints of blood from 97 blood donors who registered. The campaign also aims to create awareness among SSTC trainees about the importance of helping the patients in need because every pint of blood can save three lives.
According to one of the staff in Blood Bank Unit, Mrs Dg. Rizaniyah said that SSTC has always being supportive in helping the unit as the centre gets an overwhelming response from the trainees and staff.
SSTC since the first campaign in 2006 had successfully donated 1, 417 pints of blood.
