Sabah Skills & Technology Centre (SSTC) held its 16th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Hyatt Regency Hotel Kota Kinabalu on the 22nd June 2017. It was attended by 38 members from SSTC Founder and Ordinary Members, Associate Members consisting of representatives from the government agencies and Auditors from Crowe Horwarth.
The AGM was officiated by SSTC Chairman, Datuk Sri Panglima Wong Khen Thau. Datuk Chairman said in his speech that 2016 will be the first of five very challenging year under RMKe-11. These will be the years we focus on promoting training and branding of SSTC.
“We hope that the corporate community as well as the Federal and State government will view these 5 years as the best time to develop its human capital and not ‘save’ the training budget. Let’s invest for tomorrow”, said Datuk Seri Panglima Wong on his message.
SSTC is a non-profit society, registered in year 2000. It is one of the most recent skills development centres and plays a significant role in complementing the Sabah State Government’s effort to meet the state’s manpower needs.
Also present were Datuk A. Arulpragasam, Deputy Chairman of SSTC, Datuk Bruno Vun Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Resource Development & Information Technology, Dato’ Harun bin Ismail from Sabah Energy Corporation and few other representatives from the ministry.
The meeting was adjourned at 6.15 pm and all members were invited for Majlis Berbuka Puasa at Tanjung Ria Kitchen, Hyatt Regency Kinabalu.
